Serial girlfriend-dumper Ben gets more than he bargains for when he tries to wave goodbye to Girl 23.
About the Film
Girl 23 is a British Short Film produced in the UK which recently screened at the Cannes Film Festival in the Short Film Corner.
The film is a 12 minute off-beat rom-com about a young couple’s relationship and the secret desires each of them has.
She would like to get to know him better, while he is already planning his moves on ‘girl 24’.
Using an alter ego device we find out what’s really going on inside the reluctant boyfriend’s head and how each one fares in achieving their objective.
The film was shot on HD progressive using the Sony HDW-750 and was filmed on location in Essex, with post-production in London.
It has original music and features songs by UXL and Indigo Down.

Synopsis
When a young man approaches his thirties it’s time to get serious about girls.
Serious about dumping them before they get serious, that is.
At least, that’s the way Ben (Christopher Pizzey) sees it, and just in case he forgets, his alter ego is always there to remind him.
Now it’s time to dump Girl 23 (Lisa Taylor-Roberts) and move on to the next one.
During one evening at home, while Ben tries to manoeuvre her from girlfriend status to ‘just friends’, Girl 23 has other ideas.
Maybe he’s the one, maybe not, but she needs to buy herself more time than Ben is planning to give her...
